I think there is very little doubt that without Mary we would not have had the strategy to be in our lovely new home. Her creativity and willingness to go the extra mile to get the loan funded are invaluable and I will be forever grateful to her that we were able to move into this spectacular home when we did. Having said that, we were put in a very stressful and awkward position near the end of funding. I made very clear in the beginning of the process what my sources of funding were, and if positions needed to be taken to force those sources to work, I would have preferred to know ahead of time. I understand that closing escrow is a stressful time, but this was extra. This was way past the stress that happens on a regular closing. Mary talks fast and gets the job done, no question about it, but I would have appreciated more communication about what was needed and when earlier in the process. Needing to shift these sums of money around at the very end felt like she was gambling with my money between the $48k non-refundable deposit we put down on the home and the late cancelation fee we would have had with the movers. Yes, there was a complication with the bank, but the stress started a few days before that.

Overall great experience, very helpful. Always took my calls and answered all my questions clearly. The only thing i wish would have been communicated more clearly up front, is the income limitation for CalHFA loans, and the requirement to take a home buyers course for CalHFA loans. Both of these were a last minute surprise for me, but it all worked out. Otherwise, everything was explained clearly and i was very happy with the experience. I would gladly recommend mark to anyone i know who needs a mortgage.

Jeanie answered all my questions and put my concerns at ease. She communicated with me in a way that worked for my schedule. I told her several times during the process that I had heard horror stories about how stressful it is to buy a house but that was absolutely not the case with Jeanie.
