We tried to close early but it was missed that our home insurance wouldn't start until the previous close date. This was missed until the night before therefore could not be adjusted before a weekend and holiday. I think it's partially us the homebuyer's fault but as first time homebuyers I would think the mortgage team would've caught this sooner so we could've actually closed early like discussed for a few days.
